Move-out and Move-in

Most people experience moving at least once in their lives, but they often do not know what legal problems can arise from the move and how to deal with them.

Therefore, this content provides a checklist of things to check and do, from looking for a house before moving to what to do after moving in, and possible types of disputes and their solutions. The content seeks to help movers respond appropriately to the problem situation and lead a stable life as soon as possible in a new home without unnecessary damage.

Housing Lease

In a housing lease, the lessor agrees to allow the lessee to use the house and take profits therefrom, and the lessee agrees to pay rent for it. Lessees shall be specially protected by the Housing Lease Protection Act.

The term of a housing lease shall be at least 2 years. With respect to a lease whose term is not fixed or is fixed for less than 2 years, the term of such lease shall be deemed to be at least 2 years as long as the lessee wants. In cases where a contract has been renewed, the term of a lease shall be 2 years and the lessee may notify at any time the lessor about termination of the contract.
